Give us Park & Ride stops at Colchester General Hospital

Essex County Council opened Colchester Park and Ride in April 2015 and the service runs from Junction 28 of the A12 near the Community Stadium through to Colchester Town Centre, however it is currently running at a £600,000 a year loss.
I think this is a good project to help ease congestion in and around the town centre, however I do not understand why stops have not been added at Colchester General Hospital which the service drives past en route. This makes no sense as the hospital is a primary location which is sure to attract more passengers to use the service and help cut the huge loss which the scheme is currently running at.
Recently, it has been announced that Essex County Hospital is set to close and Colchester General Hospital is going to have to take a share of 100,000 extra patients when the County Hospital closes in 2017. Not only are the existing car parks at the hospital full most days, but congestion and pollution is only going to get even worse around the hospital with more patients. I'm not saying all those issues will be solved by adding a bus stop for the Park & Ride at the hospital, but over time more people will be encouraged to use the service, cutting the huge loss it is making and helping to ease congestion around the town centre.
If you agree that there should be a Park & Ride bus stop at Colchester General Hospital please sign and share this petition. Thank you.
