Open the first Comic Book Museum

Open the first Comic Book Museum
The Issue
Hello everyone, my name is Josue Jimenez and I am here to write about an idea that Noe Rivera and myself have thought up of to bring fourth the creation of the first Comic Museum in Los Angeles. The idea was brought up due to a discussion we had about the great Stan Lee and how his impact to the world has not had any major recognition. After some thoughtful thinking we realized that no other major artist, writers or illustrators have been giving their recognition for bringing amazing impacts, not only in comic book writing, but as well in some major films and modern day pop culture. Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby, Frank Miller, Alan Moore, and Geoff Johns are just a few that have made major impacts in comic book writing today. With the start up of this museum we can show the history of comic book writing, illustrations, art work, story lines and major influences that it has had in today's society. We can see how some of the major players in comic book publishing and distributing have started a rivalry in what they released to the public and how even today it affects us in what happens today and how that makes major impacts in society and in people's lives.
As far as the contents of the museum go:
- The history of the first comics and how they have evolved into today.
- The start up and evolution of DC Comics and Marvel Comics and how their work in comics has lead to films, major company deals (toys, studios), and as well in theme parks.
- Different artwork and drafts for beloved comic characters and some comic ideas that might have been scrapped by editors or changed into what we see, from the original ideas that were created.
- Different aspects and the process of how comic books are made. And lastly, a look into comic films and how they have changed the modern day film industry and a look at the comparisons from book to film.
This museum can bring so much joy to several people to see what they grew up loving and how it has changed the world. As well, it can give the due rights to several people that have never been given credit for their work, and honor what they have done to change the world as we know it. It can shed a new light into comic books and show how we, and others love them the way we do and show the appreciation and give proper recognition as others would give to novels or anything else.
