The Bulls Head Pub in Ilkeston has been around since the 1790s or even earlier. It is currently the oldest public house in Ilkeston and one of the earliest buildings still standing in our town. The pub has been part of our community for over 200 years. It is about to be demolished and the land will most likely be used to build more houses. We need to preserve this historic building now. It has been said that there are plans to build even more houses in the local area. We do not need more houses being built on this site as the traffic on Little Hallam Hill is already at bursting point during rush hour. The disruption caused by this work will cause even more chaos. We must save this old building before we lose another piece of history in our town.
