The war between Hamas and Israel is a Middle-Eastern conflict.  It is not a Canadian, Ontario, or TDSB conflict.

It is but one example of the hate and enmity that exists in that region between Sunni and Shia Muslims (Syria), Muslims and Jews (Israel), Christians and Muslims (Lebanon), and Muslims and Kurds (Turkey, Iran).  

But the Hamas-Israeli war that is ongoing has spilled over onto the streets of our Canadian and Western cities, into our news feeds, and in our education system.  The expression of this conflict is highlighted by ugly, vile, threatening, and bullying hatred, which is evident within the TDSB.  Some activist teachers and administrators are using this conflict to express their animus toward Jewish students and encouraging young impressionable students to bully their Jewish colleagues.

It is the mandate of the TDSB to ensure that all students have a safe environment.  The expression of Jew-hatred by some - a relatively small but active and vocal minority - within the TDSB must be irradicated.  There is no room for hate against any group - Muslim, Hindu, Black, Asian, LGBTQ+, or Jew.  

HATE must be stopped.  The TDSB must act to stop HATE in their schools.
