In Toronto and many cities around North America and Europe, expressions of hate have become "de regueure and are on full public display.  Under the guise of Palestinian oppression, protesters fill the streets to express their hatred of Jews, Colonialists (whatever that means), and Western institutions.  These protests are laced with anger, vitriol, and calls for hateful action against Jews, Muslims, LGBTQ+, and other minorities.

The antidote for hate is education - and it starts in K-12.  The TDSB has all the right slogans in place, but their actions to stop hate from imbuing their schools don't match their rhetoric.

The TDSB must step up and stop hate on its campuses and facilities.  They must aggressively hold accountable those who support hate with meaningful consequences.  The longer hate is unchecked the harder it is to control it.
