Equal Consideration: Cancel Grade 12 CBSE Exams (Middle East)
Equal Consideration: Cancel Grade 12 CBSE Exams (Middle East)
The Issue
We, the Grade 12 students of CBSE-affiliated schools in the Middle East, respectfully request the cancellation of the upcoming Board Examinations in light of the ongoing regional tensions.
Recently, CBSE announced the cancellation of Class 10 Board Examinations under similar circumstances. This decision acknowledged the impact of instability on students’ academic preparation.
Grade 12 students in the Middle East are currently facing significant academic disruption due to ongoing regional instability and unpredictable security problems.
The uncertainty has created heightened alert conditions and sustained psychological stress among students.
Such an environment is not conducive to preparing for high-stakes board examinations that require stability, concentration, and consistent academic engagement.
The present circumstances do not reflect normal academic conditions, and the persistent instability has materially affected examination readiness.
In the interest of fairness and consistency, we respectfully request CBSE to extend similar consideration to Grade 12 students in the Middle East by cancelling the Board Examinations and implementing an alternative evaluation method based on internal assessments and academic records.
Our appeal is grounded in the principle of equity and equal treatment under extraordinary circumstances.
We sincerely urge CBSE to consider this request with the same sensitivity demonstrated in the recent decision regarding Class 10.
