The Environmental Protection Agency, headed by coal lobbyist, Andrew Wheeler, is attempting to repeal restrictions on methane output by the gas and oil industry. Methane emissions are a leading cause of climate change and have disastrous environmental effects. The blatant disregard for the environment in the current administration is appalling.

The rationale behind the proposed repeals is that it would save energy companies an estimated $125 million. What they fail to mention however, is that these savings come at the expense of the environment.

With a sitting President denying climate change, and the head of the agency that’s supposed to advocate for the environment having a serious conflict of interest, it’s up to us, the people, to make change happen. Sign this petition to tell the corporations that we will no longer stand for their pernicious agendas. If we don’t stop this pattern now, we will face inexorable, cataclysmic change.
