I wanted to let you know that the government has now finally released key documents that refer to lynx reintroduction. These documents were previously withheld from us and have only been released after we applied to the court.
We are not allowed to disclose the documents at this stage, but we can now see why the government were so reluctant to release them. The government have only released them on the strict condition that we don’t share them. They definitely don’t want the public to see them.
We are now making the final preparations for our crucial court hearing next week, that commences on the 14th October and is scheduled over one and a half days.
It is a case we must win, as without a victory, the government will block any lynx application from anyone indefinitely. The stakes are high, but we have a fantastic legal team behind us.
We need financial support to continue to fight as hard as possible and to employ the services of the very best solicitors and barristers we can (who are all working at a very reduced rate).
