Hello everyone,

We wanted to send out a few updates to all of you as we continue to advance our work. We believe it is needed now more than ever. We are working away hard in the background, getting all of our ducks in a row for our license application. We're hoping to have it submitted over the next few months.

The world is thought to be on the brink of a sixth mass extinction, from which the UK is not exempt. According to the State of Nature report 2019, 63% of UK priority species showed 'strong or moderate decreases' in population numbers. Biodiversity is crucial in maintaining ecosystem resilience, and as climate change continues to encroach upon our natural world, healthy ecosystems have never been more important.

Keystone species, like Lynx, contribute massively towards the biodiversity of their ecosystems through what are known as 'trophic cascades'. Check out this great video showing what happened when wolves were reintroduced to Yellowstone National Park in the US. The traditional approach of conserving isolated nature reserves is giving way to understanding of the need for action across whole landscapes, and that is what our project is all about.

We're thrilled to announce that we have been accepted onto the National Funding Scheme's 'Donate' programme. As our project continues to gain momentum, fundraising is becoming more of a focus for us.
