Iqbal poultry issued with a improvement notice by the environment agency in 2016 what outlines the methods of how to run a poultry factory in line with environmental health and without being a nuisance to the community. It clearly states that if there should be no odour emissions what so ever .It is clear that iqbal poultry do not follow the rules of the permit that they operate under. They are also meant to unload the lorries in a sealed building. I have seen them just unloading chickens in the middle of the car park not inside a sealed building.

The same company at its other factory near bingley was also issued with a improvement notice in 2012 by the Environment Agency after multiple breaches of its operating licence were discovered and locals were struggling to sit outdoors due to the smell. Iqbal poultry have a good track record of operating as they wish and ignoring the heath and safety

Iqbal poultry thorne use 11.7 litres of water per chicken and they do 12,000 chickens per hour so there using 140,000 litres of water per hour thats 3.3 million litres per day. All this water is ending up contaminated with bacteria, blood, feces, guts and is ending up getting washed into the drainage system without correct treatment.

Constant pressure from the environment agency, environmental health, local councilors and MPS and other relevant government bodies has the potential to make them stick to there permit rules. If anyone local works there and sees anything they would think is unhygienic and doesn't adhere to food hygiene standards or is a breach of permit send all photos/videos anonymously to hairfilter123@gmail.com
