Although our petition is based on the campaign to save our local pub, The Plough Inn in Crosspool, Sheffield, it raises wider issues about the role of the big pub companies in the steady decline of our community pubs. We are calling on Enterprise Inns and all the large pub companies to invest in, and support, their licencees, their employees and their local communities. We are calling for a radical change in the business model of the large pub companies which has resulted in over 30 pubs closing every week. We want the pub companies to:

Give all landlords and landladies a fair deal

Develop partnerships with local communities to keep pubs at the heart of those communities
