Within the last year Data Center growth has exploded across  country. These parasitic developments have done irreparable harm to the environment and the citizens that live locally. WRI.org has established that a single data center uses the combined energy of almost 100,000 homes leading to MUCH higher energy prices to the citizens of Warner Robins (Nearly 10% on average). A single medium sized data center uses about 300,000 gallons DAILY with large centers using nearly a million gallons a day. It has also been proven that data centers emit over 100 decibels of prolonged sound leading to developmental issues and permanent damage in children's hearing. This sound level also causes permanent damage to adults if exposed for long periods of time. In 2024 a single medium sized Data centers also spanned nearly 450 football fields of acreage, with sizes increasing yearly.

Sacrificing our community to potentially add 25-150 jobs is an expression of corporate greed when taking into account the size and cost of these centers.

In most cases, these centers are approved and established with little to no community input or oversight (Look at the Byron Mayor's response once it was discovered Byron city officials approved a data center with no information being given to the public). 

Warner Robins established special zoning for data center development and have spent the better part of 3 months "reviewing" the budgetary impacts of said data center. Currently a temporary moratorium of data center development has been put into place until January 7th, 2027.

This decision should not exclusively be made by the council. The idea of a Data Center in and around Warner Robins makes the wider population sick to their stomachs. It is our moral obligation as Americans to deny any ability for a data center to be established in and around Warner Robins. We further request that the zoning classification for data centers be completely dissolved - The existence of it only shows that the city council has, potentially, already made up its mind.

I call on the citizens iof Warner Robins, Bonaire, and Kathleen to vehemently decline entertaining the idea of a data center anywhere close to our region.
