As tenants of the Blackberry Lane Allotment in Chichester, UK, we face a daily struggle. Many of us have disabilities that make it difficult to navigate around parked cars blocking our gated entrance in particular mobility scooters. This barrier also prevents us from carrying out essential tasks such as transporting wheelbarrows and operating rotavators. 

The importance of allotments for mental and physical health is well-documented (source: The National Allotment Society). Yet, our ability to enjoy these benefits is being hindered by this ongoing issue.

We are not asking for much - just unhindered access to the allotments we love and rely on. We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy their local amenities without unnecessary obstacles.

We urge the West Sussex County Council Highways to address this issue promptly by ensuring that parking regulations are enforced more strictly on Blackberry Lane. This will allow all tenants, regardless of their abilities or equipment they need, full access to the Blackberry Lane Allotment.
