Wow I can’t believe that in just 3 days we’ve had over 100 signatures! Thank you to everyone, especially those who have shared their own experiences. 

I was inspired to start this petition after a group of wonderful women I met antenatally and I all had negative experiences with tongue tie services at our local hospital trust (East & North Herts) in 2020. Out of 5 of us, with 7 babies between us now, 6 of the babies had tongue tie! This goes to show how common tongue tie is. It’s also very easily resolved! 

However, babies are still being let down by the Trust. More resources & systemic change is needed to improve tongue tie services. It’s a minor procedure that can help babies to feed better. It’s totally unacceptable for the wait time for the procedure to be 8 weeks. I truly hope this petition influences the Trust to take action to make urgent improvements.
