Unfortunately, I have some heart-wrenching news. A Brampton Superior Court Judge has ruled that Rocco is estate property and I have 2 weeks to give him to my late boyfriend’s sister, who is the estate trustee.

We received the decision on Monday and I am still trying to process it. I am at a loss for words...I feel completely broken.

I was disappointed to note that her Honor didn’t talk about Rocco’s dog walker’s evidence, or Rocco’s trainer’s evidence in her written decision, as these are professionals who supported my position.

Her Honor also didn’t comment on the hotel manager’s evidence that Leonard told him about Rocco being a gift to me right after we got him on the hotel property. Rocco's dog walker’s evidence that Leonard told her that Rocco had been a gift to me is also not mentioned in the written decision. All three of these witnesses are neutral, with no personal relation to either party, who supported my position in this case.

I'm looking into appealing the decision. I have to give Rocco and I this chance.

I am asking you all, for the sake of our beloved pets, to share this petition far and wide. We are not going to give up fighting for pets.
