I am personally raising this petition following the heartbreaking experience at Dr.Anthony Drake's office at 3505 McGehee RD.Montgomery,Ala.My 7-month-old Golden Doodle suffered a severe injury during a simple shots and grooming appointment. Despite the claim that she injured herself by jumping off the grooming table, the remorseless response from Dr. Drake was shocking. Even more disappointing was that the corrective surgery, which he proposed and performed complimentary, led to unsuccessful results. Eventually, this unfortunate incident led to the devastating recommendation for amputation after a consultation at Auburn University.

These clinics are meant to provide care for our beloved pets and not be a place where their safety is compromised. An estimated 12,000 pets annually suffer injuries due to grooming accidents (source: Veterinary Safety & Health Digest). If this is accurate, it signals a deep-seated issue that needs attention. We demand that the Pet Lover's Animal Clinic take immediate steps to implement safety measures and prevent such mishaps in the future. Our trusted companions deserve better than this. They deserve to be cared for and protected in a safe environment. Sign this petition to make sure that no other pet has to undergo such trauma ever again.
