Thank you for contacting Luke about Fulford Cemetery.  

Having heard from multiple residents about this, Luke contacted both Fulford Parish Council and City of York Council before embarking on his paternity leave. Luke has asked me to provide any updates on his behalf whilst he is away on paternity leave, and I apologise for the slight delay in doing so. 

It is our understanding that City of York Council and Fulford Parish Council are working together closely to create a plan for the future maintenance of the Cemetery, with plans to be announced in due course.  
City of York Council are also supporting Fulford Parish Council to organise volunteers for the site.  The Parish Council shared with Luke that it may take a little time for CYC to recruit and train the volunteers, but anyone who is interested in helping can email environmentandcommunity@york.gov.uk for further information or to offer their time.

Whilst the site does fall under the jurisdiction of the local Parish/ City councils, please be assured that Luke’s team will be following all developments, and will lend their support to the establishment of a future maintenance plan where appropriate.
