Dear Concerned Citizens,

 

Every day, in the entire Anand district, roads are dangerously blocked by cows and buffaloes roaming or sitting in the middle of public roads.

This is a serious threat to:

-Drivers, bikers, and pedestrians, School children, women, and senior citizens trying to commute safely.

-The animals themselves, as they are at constant risk of accidents and injury.

-Despite being a long-standing problem, no effective action has been taken by local authorities.

According to Indian laws:

-Article 21 guarantees the Right to Life and Road Safety.

—IPC Sections 268 & 283 label this a public nuisance.
Gujarat Municipalities Act requires local bodies to manage stray animals.

-Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act mandates safe shelter for animals.

Our Demands:

-Immediate removal of stray cattle from public roads.

-Strengthening and funding of Gaushalas (cattle shelters) to properly house these animals.

-Coordination between Police, Animal Husbandry Dept., and Local Authorities for long-term enforcement.
