The Issue

Ever since I started subscribing to NFL RedZone, I fell in love with the idea of having seven hours of uninterrupted football coverage. This service has become an integral part of my weekends, providing an exhilarating experience as I immerse myself into the world of football, commercial-free. However, recent developments threaten to change the essence of what NFL RedZone stands for. Both the NFL and ESPN seem to prioritize profits over user experience, introducing commercials that disrupt the seamless broadcast we have come to cherish.

Many of us are already paying a premium for access to this service. We signed up with the promise of uninterrupted game coverage, paying a significant amount each season, trusting in the value and unique offering of NFL RedZone. The inclusion of commercials not only undermines the original purpose but also makes the cost increasingly unjustifiable. It feels like a betrayal to loyal subscribers who have supported this service from the start.

Given that the entire premise of NFL RedZone was built on the exhilaration of seven straight hours of football without commercial interruption, this move by the NFL and ESPN feels like a greedy cash grab. The sports broadcasting landscape is changing, and while businesses should adapt, they should not do so at the expense of their loyal customers' experience.

We urge officials at the NFL and ESPN to reconsider this decision. Ensuring NFL RedZone remains commercial-free will preserve the integrity and value of the service. It's essential to maintain the trust and satisfaction of your audience, rather than alienate them with unwanted and intrusive advertisements.

Join me in demanding that NFL and ESPN uphold their original promise. Roger Goodell himself said on SportsCenter on 08/06/25:

“It’ll continue to be produced right here in this building. It will be the NFL RedZone. I don’t think fans will see any difference to that. Obviously, in the context of that, though, ESPN purchased the RedZone name and they will be able to utilize that for other sports, college football and other things, and I think that could be an exciting thing for our fans also to see a RedZone, maybe in college football or other sports. That’s something that they now own and have the ability to do that. But as far as Red Zone, NFL Red Zone, there won’t be any changes for our plans.”

Let's keep football Sundays special and ensure that NFL RedZone remains your ticket to non-stop action. Sign this petition to get their attention and bring back seven hours of commercial-free football!
