Not everyone has signed up for these emails so here is a copy of what Leonna sent out last week:
Car Park / Riverside Approach – ecology report
Latest ecology report attached. Please note comment from council officer (16.12.24): our ecology officer has raised no objections subject to suggested conditions and informatives – his response and the report will be uploaded to the website in due course.
Further updates on this and other matters have been added to the finalised minutes of the December BOPB meeting, these are also attached.
Watling Car Park Development – Planning Submissions for members not online
The planning team are sharing the following answers to questions raised/suggested by BOPB members on how to comment on planning applications if online/digital is not your preferred method.
Can respondents deliver handwritten comments in person at the council offices, and if so, do they simply put "FAO: [name of relevant planning officer]?
Comments can be hand delivered but an alternative is for residents to post their comments to our offices at 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW. Please ensure that the application number, commenter’s name and full residential address is included in both instances. If delivering in person, please inform the Colindale Office reception team and they will contact a planning officer to coordinate the delivery of comments.
Are there any other non-digital options?
The only means of commenting non-digitally is by post or delivery in person to our offices.
Can a neighbour email multiple responses on behalf of their neighbours (and would the comment have to be signed to authenticate the non-digitally enabled respondent)?
A resident can submit a response on behalf of neighbours who had handwritten their comments. Each respondent would need an account registered on our public access page, but this can be done on behalf of a resident if, for example, they don’t have access to the internet or email Planning.consultation@barnet.gov.uk.
Will all emails/portal comments will be acknowledged by Council?
Both emailed comments and comments registered via the Portal are acknowledged via email. Emailed comments are acknowledged once the comment is entered but there may be a delay between the comment being emailed in and the comment being registered by the Tech Support team. Emailing will negate the need to register via the Planning Portal. The benefit of registering and commenting via the Portal is that the comment is registered instantly against the application.
Celebrating 100 years of Burnt Oak station
TfL have confirmed they will be marking the centenary of Burnt Oak station with a plaque.

Further details to follow after a meeting with TfL early in the new year, after which we’ll know more about accessing the station and to what extent there can be displays on site on the day.
Display materials showing archive photographs will be produced, forming part of a legacy kit that will include Lisa’s talk transcript and images.
