Ensure Adequate Medical Care Of Poor, Unattended Patients and Children in Hospitals

The Issue

I have witnessed too many times the harrowing end of a person's life due to lack of medical attention, their poverty making them invisible in the health system. Children, with their whole lives ahead of them, are sometimes left with no option but to resign to their ill fate. These instances have made me realize the urgency to address this issue. There are laws and government programs designed to help these vulnerable individuals. However, they often require burdensome validation for eligibility, which many poor families, especially under catastrophic conditions, fail to fulfill.

A report by the World Bank and World Health Organization states that half the world lacks access to essential health services and 100 million still pushed into extreme poverty because of health expenses. We cannot allow this to continue. This is a distress call for bringing about a much-needed change.

Our aim should be strengthening hospital policies, restructuring eligibility norms for availing government benefits, and making the validation process less complicated. Every person deserves the right to adequate healthcare. It is time we take a unified stand and demand better healthcare for those who cannot afford it themselves and have been left unattended for far too long. Please lend your voice to this essential cause and sign this petition. Let's strive to offer health and hope to all, irrespective of their financial standing.
