We, the citizens, students, and youth of India, are writing to express our profound concern over the systemic challenges currently fracturing our national education system. The massive, nationwide youth-led demonstrations at Jantar Mantar highlight a deep-seated crisis of trust caused by repeating competitive exam irregularities and the recent NEET paper leak controversy.

Millions of students dedicate years of hard work, financial sacrifice, and mental resilience to these exams. When the integrity of these assessments is compromised, it does not just disrupt careers—it shatters the faith of an entire generation in the ideals of merit, fairness, and equal opportunity.

The mental anguish and extreme pressure resulting from these failures have pushed many young minds into despair.

While we understand the government's responsibility to maintain public order, we are deeply distressed by the recent reports of internet shutdowns, police use of force, tear gas, and mass detentions against peaceful student demonstrators and activists during the 'Chalo Sansad' march.

Peaceful protest is a fundamental cornerstone of our democratic framework. Treating the grievances of students as a public security threat rather than an urgent civic conversation alienates the very future of our nation.

Therefore, we respectfully but firmly place forward the following demands:

Immediate Accountability and Education Reforms: Establish a complete, transparent, and time-bound structural reform of the national examination bodies to guarantee error-free, leak-proof future assessments.

Safety and Non-Retaliation for Protesters: Provide an unequivocal official assurance that no punitive, legal, or retaliatory actions will be taken against the students, youth, and citizens who participated in the peaceful agitations.

Protection of Right to Dissent: Ensure that further demonstrations at Jantar Mantar are treated with democratic empathy, appropriate safety screening, and a complete cessation of force or arbitrary detentions against peaceful assemblies.

Direct Dialogue with Youth Representatives: We urge the leadership to officially engage in an open, constructive dialogue with student groups and movement leaders to collectively address the systemic flaws in our academic infrastructure.

India's youth are not a problem to be managed; they are the answer to our nation's future. We urge you to handle this crisis with the statesmanship, transparency, and urgency that our student community deserves.
