For over fifty years Tony Schiavone has had a love and passion for professional wrestling.  It is time “The Voice of WCW” be given the recognition that he is long overdue.  Whether it be behind the scenes or in front of the camera, Tony has given his adult (and most of his childhood) life to the sport he has loved and always hoped to be a part of.  Nearly two generations later, his contributions to the business have enriched the companies he has  worked for, but more importantly, he has entertained and delighted fans with his talent, wit, and stories that make them as relevant today as they were then.  

Fans around the world have asked for this for years.  A small token of appreciation from the leader in sports entertainment for all he has given to the industry would mean so much to lifelong fans like myself.  In addition, his activism with animal shelters that assist neglected and unwanted pets in the Southeastern United States reconfirm how good of a man he is.  

Make no mistake: Tony has not asked for this. We, the fans, are asking for it.  With the likes of Gorilla Monsoon Jim Ross, Howard Finkel, and Mene Gene Okerlund already enshrined, we hope that Tony can join alongside these great announcers who have been recognized for their exemplary work.

May this petition gain traction as proof that Tony Schiavone is both admired and respected among those in professional wrestling  and their fans, and that his enshrinement in World Wrestling Entertainment’s Hall of Fame is long overdue.
