There are more than 5,000,000 uninsured, impoverished kids who qualify for public health care programs. That's just not ok. Poor kids can enroll in Medicaid and receive free or very low cost care, and slightly less poor kids can enroll in CHIP (the Children's Health Insurance Program) to get affordable care. Here's the problem: kids don't really sign up; caregivers have that power. But clearly, many don't. Let's change that.
