Petition to Improve Meta Support and Platform for Content Creators. 

We, the undersigned, call upon Facebook to address critical issues affecting content creators on their platform. As creators who have invested significant time and effort into building our communities, we demand better support and fair treatment from Meta.

1. Transparency and Support:Meta's current verification badge system requires creators to pay $15 for verification, yet support remains elusive. Automated responses fail to address our concerns adequately, leaving us feeling neglected and unsupported. Meta must prioritize responsive and effective customer support tailored to the needs of creators.

2. Safety and Fair Treatment: Meta's guidelines are inconsistently applied, leaving creators vulnerable to arbitrary enforcement and unjust consequences. This undermines our ability to express ourselves freely and stifles creativity. We demand fair treatment and a safe environment where creators are empowered to thrive without fear of unjust reprisal.

3. Equitable Compensation: (FACEBOOK) The recent introduction of a payout system based on performance, rather than ad revenue, has disproportionately impacted creators, resulting in significantly reduced earnings for our work. Facebook must reassess its payout structure to ensure fair compensation that reflects the value creators bring to the platform.

4. Platform Stability and Functionality: Creators are plagued by technical issues and bugs that hinder our ability to produce and distribute content effectively. These issues cause undue stress and frustration, detracting from our ability to focus on creating quality content. Meta must prioritize fixing bugs and improving platform stability to provide a seamless experience for creators and their audiences.

5. Training and Development: Facebook must invest in comprehensive training programs for its customer service representatives to ensure they possess the knowledge and skills necessary to address the diverse needs of creators effectively. 6. Algorithm Changes. Despite Facebook's initial claims of welcoming all types of creators, recent algorithm changes have marginalized thousands of creators worldwide. The platform, now in a supposedly better state, appears to prioritize certain types of content over others, leaving many creators in the dark and struggling to reach their audiences. Facebook must reassess its algorithm to ensure equitable visibility for all creators and uphold its commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.

 

As creators who have dedicated years to cultivating our presence on various social media platforms, including Facebook, we urge Facebook to take immediate action to address these concerns. By prioritizing the needs of creators and fostering a supportive environment, Facebook can strengthen its platform and empower creators to continue producing valuable content for millions of users worldwide.
