Waubonsie Valley High School (WVHS) is renowned for its vibrant and competitive athletic programs, particularly in swimming and water polo. However, the inadequacies of the current pool facilities are hindering the school’s ability to host prominent competitions such as Sectionals and the DuPage Valley Conference (DVC) meets. Enhancing the pool facilities can elevate our school’s position in these sports and attract even more talent and interest from the community.

One of the primary concerns is the existing shallow end of the WVHS pool which limits the pool's utility during competitive matches. Eliminating the shallow end could optimize the pool space, making it more suitable for both swimming and water polo events. Furthermore, the current seating arrangement is insufficient for the audience attending these events. Expanding and improving seating capacity would accommodate more spectators, providing a better experience for families, supporters, and visiting teams.
