I am incredibly grateful to every person who has signed, shared and supported my petition calling for greater transparency and accountability within Queensland’s child protection system.

What began as one mother speaking up has now become 386 people standing together and saying that vulnerable children deserve to be heard, protected and treated as individuals.

Our next step is to take this further. I am approaching Members of Parliament to seek support and sponsorship for an official Queensland Parliament e-petition. This would formally bring these concerns before Parliament and call for:

• Individual, child-centred assessments before significant placement changes
• Meaningful consultation with children, families, carers and professionals
• Greater transparency around policies and placement decisions
• Independent oversight and stronger accountability
• Proper risk assessments and transition planning to protect vulnerable children

This is no longer just my voice—it is ours. Every signature, share and conversation helps show that Queenslanders want meaningful change.
