Cheerleading competitions are gatherings that should promote fun, healthy competition, and team spirit, however, the lack of substantial security raises concerns for the wellbeing of our children participating. Currently, with minimal security checks and rarely any metal detectors, the potential for harm greatly increases. According to the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security, comprehensive security measures significantly mitigate the risks at such events. For the sake of our children, better bag checks, strict inspections, and installation of metal detectors at every cheer competition must be mandated. This is an urgent call to all organizing bodies to prioritize the safety of our children above all. We are the voice of many loving parents who fervently ask for the peace of mind of knowing our children are safe. Please, join this essential cause and sign this petition today.
