The residents of Pleasant Hill, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada are calling for increased preventative policing measures. We request the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) to create a dedicated Pleasant Hill Alternative Response Team (ART). This team would consist of two officers who would be on the ground in Pleasant Hill every Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday.

In addition to this prevention-focused approach, we ask that SPS consider funding an increase in patrols on 20th and 21st street between Ave P and Ave R during the hours of 11:30 pm to 1:30 pm. This measure is crucial for ensuring the safety of St. Pauls Hospital workers who commute during these hours.

According to Statistics Canada's Crime Severity Index report from 2019, Saskatoon has one of the highest crime rates among Canadian cities. By implementing these changes we can work towards reducing crime rates and making our community safer.

We believe that with more preventative policing and an ART team in the community for as little as 3 days per week, we can significantly improve safety conditions for all residents and workers in our community.
