Enhance Handicap Accessibility to Stadiums and Gymnasiums

Enhance Handicap Accessibility to Stadiums and Gymnasiums

The Issue

My personal experience with handicap citizens who struggle with access to local football stadiums and gymnasiums has been a profound eye opener. The individuals I know are full of spirit and enthusiasm, eager to embrace local events. However, their zest is dampened due to the lack of sufficient handicap facilities. Our pursuit for inclusivity should extend to ensuring that every citizen, regardless of their physical status, should be able to access public spaces comfortably and safely.

It is alarming to note that approximately 15% of our global population experience some form of disability (World Health Organization). Considering this significant number, it is imperative that we implement changes in our infrastructure to cater to the needs of such individuals.

It is our responsibility to bridge this gap by improving handicap access to the football stadium and both the middle and high school gymnasiums. Let's unite and advocate for the enhancement of physical access to our community spaces, enabling our handicapped citizens to move freely and independently.
