A new report from the Kentucky Court of Justice acknowledged systemic failures in the compulsory treatment process. For those of you who signed on behalf of my daughter, I cannot be sure our voices were heard, but I also cannot say they were not.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with us.

It is my sincere hope that we can trust our legal offices for help in moments of crisis, especially with matters this intimate and devastating, and that when we do, we will not be laughed at (yes, that happened), dismissed, or minimized, but treated with dignity, compassion, and respect throughout the process.

Most importantly, I hope there will be a genuine, coordinated effort to help families save their loved ones and to finally uphold the true intention of Casey’s Law: not simply court orders, but real treatment, real aftercare, and real hope.
