ECB = The Grave(s)yard of Cricket!

The man from Del-Costcutter, he say NO! We asked Mr Graves to reconsider the penalty points awarded against Durham, and to put the matter before the full membership of the ECB. He ignored our request and merely restated the official ECB line which amounts to "for the wider good" and "we know we are right", but he could not bring himself to acknowledge that this aspect of Durham's "punishment" hits players and supporters more than the club itself. We all know the fans count for nothing - but the players? No doubt Mr Graves and his officers have their plates full, with their efforts to goad/cajole/persuade some of those reluctant FCC's and their Minor Counties colleagues to swallow the pill of the proposed City based Twenty/20 tournament. It must be time-consuming and an uphill struggle, with no time left over to reconsider their treatment of just one vulnerable club. Perhaps we can help them with that problem. In the meantime MP Kevan Jones deserves all our support in his efforts to capture the attention of the Select Committee for Culture, Media & Sports. We shall be writing to the Committee. And now a MASSIVE and sincere "Thank You" to all of you for supporting our efforts. We salute you! We are keeping the petition site open, as a means of keeping in touch with you. Please, feel free to comment to us on the link below. THANK YOU!
