Patients hospitalized with COVID19 are being denied safe and potentially life-saving medications by their physicians and hospitals.  The Right to Try Act was signed into law on May 30, 2018 and gives dying patients the right to access investigational treatments.

As a physician who has treated thousands of COVID patients, I have personally tried and failed to help many patients get access to medications not approved by the treating physician or hospital. Patients across the country have died without the chance to try effective and safe medications for COVID19. Families are having to hire attorneys to enforce the Right to Try Act and as I have witnessed, do not always win.

The Right to Try Act applies to every American and is independent of vaccination status or political affiliation.  It's what any of us would want for ourselves or a loved one who is dying and running out of options.
