Like other long time residents of Herriman, I was promised that our historic district would be preserved despite the city's growth. This region, tracing the original settlement boundaries of the city, holds unique historical beauty that should be preserved for future generations. Now, we are facing an alarming plan to construct 200+ units in this area, a move that could potentially destroy the historical feel and the unique charm of old Herriman. Encroachments like these can lead to a loss of our valuable historical legacy and morph our unique district into an anonymous urban sprawl. We request the city council not to ignore the city's plan, which aims to preserve and enhance the aesthetic value of Old Herriman.
