In Moscow, Idaho, our public pool is a super fun spot for countless families seeking summer enjoyment. We've made fantastic memories there, splashing around and reveling in the sunshine. However, recently, there's been a rise in unsuitable swimwear choices, which inhibits the wholesome family environment that many of us seek. Thong bikinis are increasingly present, making numerous families, including ours, uncomfortable.

Public pools are meant to be venues where everyone, regardless of age  can have a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, the current lack of a dress code threatens this family-friendly atmosphere. Thong bikinis at a community pool where families with young children gather,  are quite inappropriate.

We believe implementing a reasonable dress code for all parties; i.e. life guards and swimmers, would restore the comfort and purity of our beloved public pool. Establishing clear guidelines, such as the prohibition of thong bikinis, would encourage more families to come and enjoy the pool.
