Our Green Belt & Open Spaces are still not safe!
Dear Supporters,
We haven’t been in touch for a while!
The main message is that we are still here and working hard to protect against any threats to our precious green spaces in Enfield – and beyond!
Whilst Enfield’s own Draft Local Plan is being worked on behind closed doors, the London Borough of Hounslow’s is already out for consultation and we’d like to draw your attention to the shocking amount of Green Belt they are trying to release for development, using unjustified exceptional circumstances as the reason.
We are therefore asking you to please object to Hounslow’s Draft Local Plan release of Green Belt! The Council is proposing to release 125 hectares of Green Belt. This is unnecessary and the Council needs to receive a mountain of objections.
The deadline is Tuesday 24 September.
The easiest way to object is by email to LDF@hounslow.gov.uk
The Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE-London) has provided a very thorough objection template which you can find on our website and adapt or just copy and paste. https://enfieldroadwatch.co.uk/uncategorized/hounslows-green-belt-needs-your-help-too-please-object-by-the-sept-24-deadline/
If Hounslow is able to make the case for de-designation of Green Belt, Enfield can be expected to try as well! We need to fight on all fronts!!
Any questions please get in touch and thank you for your continued and much needed support!
Together we are Stronger!
Regards
