4th world march for peace and Nonviolence -official website In today's world, the shadows of conflict loom large, casting a pall over countless lives across the globe. War-like situations are prevalent in numerous regions, causing unspeakable suffering and loss. As someone deeply affected by these circumstances, I have come to believe that the only sustainable solution lies in promoting peace dialogues and championing a non-violent approach to conflict resolution.
The 4th World March for Peace and Nonviolence, happening from 21st September 2026 to 4th October 2026, organised by World Without War and Violence offers a unique opportunity to move in this direction. Spanning continents and uniting different cultures, this march seeks to amplify the voices calling for peace and nonviolence. Scheduled to occur worldwide, including significant events in India, it aims to foster a global discourse on the importance of resolving conflicts without resorting to violence.
Why: Promoting peace, non-violence, dialogue, human rights and peaceful and non-violent conflict resolution.
What:A grassroots initiative in which as many cities around the world as possible carry out various activities to promote peace and non-violence.
When & Where: From 21 September to 4 October 2026. In as many cities as possible on six continents. We want to reach at least 100 cities.
The necessity of such a movement cannot be overstated. According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, the global military expenditure reached an astounding $2 trillion in 2022. This enormous allocation of resources underscores our failure to prioritize peacebuilding endeavors. Yet, initiatives like the World March serve as a beacon of hope, highlighting the possibilities of dialogue over discord.
To truly confront the ongoing crises, it is imperative that this march garners worldwide support. By endorsing and participating in this initiative, we can send a strong message to leaders and policymakers that the tides of war must subside to make way for peace. Concrete actions such as reducing military budgets, investing in peace education, and instituting policy reforms should be at the forefront of this movement.
Let us stand together in embodying and advocating for the principles of nonviolence and constructive dialogue. You have the power to make a difference by standing with us in support of the 4th World March for Peace and Nonviolence. Sign this petition to endorse this vital global event and help pave the way for a more peaceful future. Your signature matters, and together, we can inspire change.
