Ending Statelessness in Malaysia

Ending Statelessness in Malaysia
The Issue
This petition is conducted by university students from Taylor’s University, as part of our assignment for the MPU module, “Falsafah dan Isu Semasa”.
A stateless person is someone who is not considered as a national by any State under the operation of its law. According to UNHCR Malaysia, at least 10,000 people in Malaysia remain stateless, denied access of education, jobs, healthcare, and other basic rights. Stateless individuals, including children born in Malaysia, often face discrimination and legal barriers that prevent them from fully participating in society.
Therefore, we urge the Malaysian government to:
1. Strengthen the policies to protect stateless individuals.
2. Provide accessible pathways to citizenship.
Sign this petition to support our cause in ending statelessness in Malaysia to ensure equality for all and to help us get a good grade for this assignment, thank you :)
