At the time of creating this petition (5/28/2020), a large number of users on the online forum 4chan have banded together once again to begin plotting a sabotage against innocent minorities, this time LGBTQ+ people, and destroy as many lives as possible: Operation Pridefall.

The premise of Operation Pridefall is to send accounts that are openly LGBTQ+ (having sexuality or non-cisgender identity listed, pronouns, and/or pride profile pictures) horrifying messages, images, and threats, as well as doxx them. (Doxxing is publishing private information about individuals with the intent more likely than not being malicious.) Planning for Operation Pridefall has dated back as early as May 10th. This type of sabotage should have been stopped by now. You can read up more on the terrible things 4chan has done and its premise here.

The goal of this petition is to get the current administrator of 4chan, Hiroyuki Nishimura, to send out a formal notice to the users of 4chan that this type of behavior and plotting should NOT be allowed whatsoever. Moreso, Nishimura should also begin to properly enforce safety rules on 4chan. The website is incredibly dangerous for this very reason: so many malicious people reside on it, and so many people have been hurt by it. The website has the ability to turn itself away from the dark side with time... without any effort from the owner himself, though, even worse things may happen.

TL;DR - Operation Pridefall is a disgusting attack against LGBTQ+ people that begins June 1st. For me and so many others, I'm sure this has pushed us over the edge, and we are fed up with 4chan's disgusting behavior. Although it is a very short time until then, we can still make a difference. Get Hiroyuki Nishimura to say something about the unruly and incriminating behavior on his forum and to do something about it.
