End Voting Inequality: Add CE-BAR Early Voting Location

The Issue

Sign this Petition to Request CE-BAR Early Voting Location

To: The Eanes ISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent Jeff Arnett

We, the undersigned, request that Eanes ISD designate an early voting polling location on the West Side of the district for the April 22-29, 2025, General Trustee Election.

Currently, early voting locations only serve voters east of Loop 360, despite 42% of registered voters residing west of this. This imbalance limits voting access and creates significant travel burdens, particularly for voters in Precincts 291, 292, 323, 324, 325, and 326 - some of the district’s most socioeconomically and ethnically diverse neighborhoods.

The Initial Request

On February 13, 2025, a formal request was made to Superintendent Dr. Jeff Arnett to add CE-Bar Fire Department as an early voting polling location for April 22-29, 2025.

Dr. Arnett declined this request on February 16, 2025.

Why This Matters

In last year's election, early voting results accurately predicted the winner, a trend that often holds true. It is imperative that CE-BAR be included as an early election site to:

Ensure fair access to early voting for all Eanes ISD residents
Reduce travel barriers for west-side voters, cutting commute times
Support increased voter turnout in historically underserved precincts
Address concerns of voter disenfranchisement and equity

Our Demand

We call on the Eanes ISD Board of Trustees to immediately reconsider and formally request that CE-Bar Fire Department serve as an early voting polling location for April 22-29, 2025.
