End Unjust Parental Alienation

End Unjust Parental Alienation
The Issue
Hi, my name is Ryan Stevens, and I'm currently facing an incredibly painful and challenging situation. I'm unable to have any contact with my son because my ex-partner continues to restrict access and complicates my efforts through the legal system. As I’ve shared my story, I’ve realised that this isn't just my struggle—many others are living through the same heartbreaking experience. It seems that parental alienation is all too common, and far too many parents either have experienced it or know someone who has.
Parental alienation is a serious, often overlooked issue, and it’s affecting families across the world. Research by Psychology Today suggests that 14-23% of parents find themselves alienated from their children following a divorce or separation [Psychology Today, 2013]. This situation isn't just devastating for the parent; it harms the child too, depriving them of a healthy, loving relationship with both parents. The emotional toll on everyone involved is profound.
What’s even more frustrating is that the very legal system that is meant to protect children's rights seems to be failing them. Instead of providing the protection and support families need, it often inadvertently enables these harmful behaviors by not taking more definitive action. We need a system that doesn’t just react, but actively works to prevent parental alienation before it starts.
I’m calling for a change in how we approach this issue. We need stronger enforcement of fair parenting laws, regular checks on custodial parents, and real consequences for those who intentionally alienate children from their other parent without just cause.
Please join me in this fight to protect our children’s right to have a meaningful relationship with both of their parents. Sign this petition today to help raise awareness and push for the legal reforms necessary to stop parental alienation. Together, we can ensure that no child is denied the love and support they deserve from both of their parents.
Thank you for standing with me in this fight.
