TSA announced that they will be extending the Federal Mask Mandate in airports/ airplanes and public transportation until April 18th, 2022. The mask mandate was due to expire in just 8 days on March 18th, 2022. Removing the mask mandate will not prevent those that wish to still wear a mask from doing so, but allow people to have the choice to make that decision based on their own situations. Most airlines have brought back pre-covid service standards on their flights and workers, as well as passengers are ready to travel like normal again. All statewide mandates, have ended or will be ending later this month (Hawaii is the last state to end mask mandates on March 26th. The reason the TSA is extending the mask mandate is because of spring break travelers, but next they'll extend it for summer travelers, and then through winter because it will be Covid/ Flu season. We have to stop letting government agencies make these decisions for us and take back control over our lives.
