Transport for London is killing pigeons who dare to enter their stations and depots.

Over a two year period at least 123 culls were completed by a contractor, with over 600 birds losing their lives.

Birds just trying to survive were reduced to pests that needed to be eradicated. Nests were destroyed and chicks had their necks snapped. When birds became trapped behind netting workers were called in, but instead of releasing them they put them behind crosshairs.

Pigeons are intelligent animals who share urban spaces with humans. They are sentient individuals, not targets. Culling is an outdated approach that lacks basic compassion.

Transport for London must do the right thing and stop shooting pigeons.
