We recently shared Elly’s story—a dog meat trade survivor who was rescued from a slaughterhouse in Yulin and now lives a joyful, safe life in California, USA.
The reality of dog and cat slaughterhouses is heartbreaking and overwhelming, which is why we don’t often speak about it. But bearing witness is part of our responsibility. To truly protect dogs and cats from the meat trade, we must tell their stories—especially the difficult ones.
When we understand the full cruelty of the meat trade, we are reminded why this work matters so deeply, and why we must continue to stand, speak out, and fight for those who cannot.
When we wrote the story, we felt intense gratitude. We feel so honored and appreciative of your support all these years and of your trust in Duo Duo Project to do the critical work of bringing lasting change and putting an end to the tragic dog and cat meat trade once and for all.
Thank you for never turning your back on our beloved dogs and cats. Your commitment, support, generosity, and kindness inspire us and keep us going.
Thank you!
