A century ago, the land that was once Palestinian was taken by the UK and USA and given to Jewish settlers who established what is now known as Israel. The personal connection to this issue stems from witnessing the continued displacement and oppression of Palestinians, a situation that has escalated over time with increasing violence and loss of life. Today, Palestinians are left with little of their original homeland while enduring harsh conditions under Israeli rule.

The United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reports that in 2020 alone, there were 389 incidents where Israeli settlers injured or killed Palestinians or damaged Palestinian property. This is a clear indication of an ongoing crisis that needs immediate attention.

This petition calls on international bodies such as the United Nations, European Union, African Union, Arab League among others to step up their efforts in advocating for justice for Palestinians. It also urges governments worldwide to reassess their diplomatic relations with Israel until it complies with international law regarding human rights.
