I know I’m not alone in this fight—it’s personal for so many of us. We are exhausted from seeing rabbits exploited as commodities, tired of hearing that because they are prey animals, they somehow deserve this fate. As someone who provides sanctuary to two Californian rabbits, a breed commonly used for meat, I know how important it is to show the world that these beautiful, sentient beings are cherished companions deserving of love and respect.
