Their claims versus reality.

The St. Paul Osman Shrine Circus would like you to think that the animals they rent from Carden International are treated as well as pets.

Circus animals suffer frequent transportation in the backs of trucks and trailers across the country.

Horses and ponies spend up to 96% of their time tied with short ropes in stalls or tethered to trailers.

Elephants spend 75-99% of their time in severely cramped cages on the backs of trailers.

Elephants spend 58-98% of their time chained by at least one leg, even overnight.

Elephants in circuses have no freedom of movement, performing abnormal behaviors in unnatural environments.

Whips and bullhooks are used to force compliance to perform and give rides.

Would you treat your companion animals like this?
