I am deeply moved to start this petition due to the cruelty inflicted on animals just for the sake of perfecting products for consumers. It's heartbreaking to think that innocent creatures are subjected to pain and suffering all in the name of consumerism.

Animal testing is not only cruel but also unnecessary. According to Cruelty Free International, over 115 million animals are being used for testing worldwide each year (Cruelty Free International). This is a staggering number that we cannot ignore.

Moreover, alternatives exist and are proven effective. In vitro testing, computer simulations, and human patient simulators are among some of these alternatives which have been shown to produce more relevant results than animal tests (American Anti-Vivisection Society).
