To: The Government of British Columbia  

We, the undersigned, call on the BC government to honour the will of the people and permanently end the outdated practice of biannual time changes and remain on permanent Day Light Savings Time. 

It’s time (pun intended) to stop the twice-yearly chaos of changing our clocks. British Columbians overwhelmingly voted to ditch the time change, yet here we are, still losing an hour of sleep every spring like it’s some kind of cruel prank.  

The reason? We were told we had to wait for our southern neighbours to do the same. But let’s be honest—our American friends have had years to sort this out, and now they’ve started a trade war with us. If they want to live an hour in the past, that’s their choice. Meanwhile, Yukon has already taken the plunge and stayed on permanent standard time. Why are we waiting? We should be moving forward (without moving our clocks).

Enough is enough! No more groggy mornings and no more outdated clock changes. We urge the BC government to take decisive action and join the Yukon in staying on permanent standard time.
