As a citizen of Pakistan, I condemn the recent hate campaign towards the Ahmadiyya community by the religious parties and politicians. Let's not forget the words of the founder of Pakistan, "…You are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place of worship in this State of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed that has nothing to do with the business of the State."

In Mohammed Ali Jinnah's name and in the name of a United Pakistan, I urge the President, the Prime Minister and the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take immediate action against this radicalism that is threatening the very fabric of our society.

I urge the government to ensure protection of the Ahmadis of Pakistan and to take concrete steps to end all hate speech and incitement to violence against them by radical extremists and religious fanatics.
